The Citizens Library is a digital collection, the result of a curatorship carried out by teachers from the State Education Network. Composed of numerous titles and media, the Library aims to make knowledge available in various formats, with the mission of contributing to the social, cultural and intellectual development of all people, through the democratization of access to free and/or domain works public. The curatorship structure was designed based on access to titles divided into areas of knowledge, with subdivisions (when applicable). The titles available for each area were chosen through a selection based on the following criteria: affinity with some of the areas of knowledge presented; pertinence and relevance, both for school education and for personal training; work established as in the public domain or with free access, so that there is no burden for the person interested in its content. In addition to the titles divided by areas of knowledge, museum and observatory sites were also made available, as well as listing possibilities for knowledge on the most diverse topics in other media, such as podcasts and audiobooks. It is essential to highlight that the entire idealization of the Library was committed to respecting human rights. Thus, we seek to enable, through this instrument, the dissemination of values such as citizenship, freedom, solidarity and cultural diversity, aiming to promote a more accessible, equitable and free from prejudice society.
